My fairy godmother has a friend who has a beautiful garden. When we come here we always go for “Kaffee und Kuchen”, in fact we are due to go this afternoon.
I always take 1000 photos. We sit outside. There is a very high proportion of Artists in her family. In fact there is Art everywhere here. My godmother’s house is a work of Art in itself.
There was one very prolific woman and her paintings are in all the houses. We went to visit her when I was a teenager and I was so inspired, myself and my twin sister couldn’t sleep for days. That house is still full of Artists, her two Artist sons live there and their wives, who are both potters.
One of my mother’s friends makes stone sculptures and there is a great appreciation for antiques and old stories. No wonder I love coming here. ❤️ This series aims to capture some of the sights, sounds and smells of my childhood and time spent in a place which both changes and always stays the same.
